Raúl Martínez Saxo is a professional saxophonist with over 40 years on stage, experienced in national and international events. He specialises in weddings and premium celebrations and designs musical sets tailored to each moment of the day: ceremony, cocktail, aperitif, dinner and party.
Performances are available as solo saxophone or paired with a DJ; Raúl can also expand the line-up to include a singer, violinist, pianist or other artists when the event concept requires it. Repertoire ranges from house, chillout and afro house to pop, soul, jazz, ballads and classics from the ’80s and ’90s — and specific songs can be prepared for key moments.
Raúl is based in Barcelona and accepts bookings in Girona, Tarragona, the Balearic Islands and the rest of Spain; he also travels for destination weddings in Europe. He communicates in English.

What musical styles do you offer?

What line-ups are available?
Saxophonist solo or Saxo + DJ. There is also the option to create customised line-ups by adding a DJ, singer, violinist, pianist or other artists.
How large can the musical ensemble be?
Performances start from one musician, with the possibility to add two or more artists depending on the concept and needs of the wedding.
When should we book?
Booking is recommended 3 to 9 months in advance, especially for weekends and high-season dates. Last-minute requests are considered subject to availability.
Do we need an in-person appointment?
No. A first consultation can be done by phone, WhatsApp or videoconference to discuss details and prepare a personalised proposal.
Do you perform more than one event per day?
Yes, provided the schedules, locations and travel allow maintaining preparation, punctuality and quality for each performance.
Are there any technical requirements?
Technical needs depend on the chosen format. For performances using Raúl’s own equipment, access to electrical power and an adequate performance area are required. If the wedding provides a DJ, sound technician or professional PA, technical aspects are coordinated in advance.
Is there a fixed curfew for performances?
No fixed end time is set. The schedule is agreed in advance according to the venue, duration and characteristics of the event.
How long does a typical performance last?
The usual format is up to 90 minutes, which can be split into multiple sets according to the event flow. Longer or customised formats are also available.
What are the payment terms?
A 40% deposit is required to confirm and block the date. The remaining balance is paid according to the conditions agreed at contracting.
